Hi, my name is Kim. I am a trainee cabinetmaker at Ecole Boulle in Paris, looking to make it in the big bad world of furniture making.

When I started this blog five years ago I half expected it to be a short-lived fad that was designed to satisfy the cravings of my inner hipster.

Yet here I am in 2017, having left London, quit my job in advertising and thrown myself wholeheartedly at cabinetmaking.

So do return to find out if it works out…

I was literally just about to start doing exactly this!!! I have become quite a keen carpenter recently (at this stage its just stuff around the house), i have just tried selling my first item on ebay and it didnt go well. My next stage was to set up a website (just like this) and try and sell bespoke items to fee paying public. This would be just a hobby to start with (i have a full time job), possibly going self employed at some (distant) time.

So, my question is, how is it this going? Have you had many commisions? Whereabouts are you based?

    1. Hi Nick,

      I’ve responded via email.

Go on, say it!
